Amos 3- The Lion Has Roared” (2020) 24x36 Acrylic and collage
I painted this during worship at a Shiloh Global Prophetic Conference, the first week of March, 202, right before the pandemic started shutting down the US. At that time it was just a virus happening in other parts of the world. The week before the conference I had this image in my head with no idea what it meant. I drew it onto the canvas and then the Lord directed me to a book of Hebrew prayers. I found some prayers to Bless Zion and those prayers were collaged on the canvas and provide a complete base to the earth image. If you look closely you can see the prayers..
I waited to actually start applying paint until I was at the conference and once I started, the Lord began to explain to me what He was communicating through it. He showed me that the world was about to experience some serious challenges and that we were not to fear. He said that He was roaring over the Earth, His earth. His people. He was in control. He said we were not to fear anything but Him. That it was time for the Fatherhood of God and the fear of the Lord to be released worldwide.
He directed me to Amos 3 “The lion has roared, who can but fear? The Lord has spoken, who can but prophesy?” He said it was time for the prophets to speak the words of the Lord, it was time for people to receive and embrace the fear of the Lord and to declare His words to the planet. As we speak His words, we release His love.
Lastly, the Lord had me add the red clouds. He told me to research these clouds and what I found was that the red nebula clouds in deep space are made of gasses and dust but also recent discoveries show that some contain DNA particles. He showed me that as He roared through these clouds, He was releasing that DNA, life was being released, Fatherhood and the fear of the Lord. He is in control and we need not fear.
