Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Heb 11:6
Risk is a scary thing. Those that do not have faith rarely take risks. From the vantage point of lacking faith, risk looks crazy, irrational, and unnatural. The ‘normal Christian’ life is supposed to be full of risk. As we are in a relationship with Jesus, risk is a natural bi-product of that relationship. As we spend time with Him, and our relationship with Him grows, we become more aware of what the Holy Spirit is doing.
Obedience to God is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22
God is looking for people to step out, obedient to the Holy Spirit’s direction and risk a lot to make God famous. It’s about Him, and His desire to see Heaven invade Earth. As His sons and daughters, He has given us a mandate to be His hands and feet, His voice and touch on this earth. We are ambassadors of Good News! Live that Good News out.
The grizzly bear is symbolic of risk. The image is frightening. It’s scary to step out and take a risk for God. As we step out in obedience, it shows God that we believe who He said He is and allows Him room to move. What has the Holy Spirit been speaking to you lately? He typically speaks to me asking me to take risks at the most inconvenient time. In those moments, am I willing to deny myself and obey Him no matter how awkward or embarrassing it may be? Or do I ignore the prompting of the Holy Spirit and get on with my day? Do you want to be used mightily by God? Take a risk and step out obeying those little promptings. You’ll be amazed what God does through you.
