I was recently commissioned by a client to do this painting (permission has been given by the owner for the sale of prints). The brief was based on an image she had seen during her quiet time. The image was of a dancer, dancing on the strings of a harp. She felt harp strings represent our heavenly Fathers’ heart strings. She felt the dancer represents our life, and that we should with help from the Holy Spirit, live a life which moves Gods heart strings.
After completing the painting and further praying over it’s prophetic meaning, I felt God directing me to send her the follow explanation.
This Painting is titled - "Prepare the way for the Lord"
It is a culmination of the Arts - Music, Dance and Fine Arts in worship
Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
It is like a Holy Spirit inspired explosion of worship rising from where the dancers feet touch the harp strings, rising upwards toward heaven. The dancer is in a posture of ultimate peace and surrender, facing heaven. She is in human form, but see-through, representing our spirit.
The worship is inspired by our love for Christ, our excitement that He is coming for His bride.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 (TPT)
Then we who are alive will join them, transported together in clouds to have an encounter with the Lord in the air, and we will be forever joined with the Lord.
The golden shoes are representative of our righteousness through Christ (our foundation)
The lightning all around the dancer represents the second coming of our savior.
Luke 17:23 (TPT)
The day of the Son of Man will burst forth with the brightness of a lightning strike that shines from one end of the sky to the other, illuminating the earth.
