Torrent is made in .925 Sterling Silver, with London Blue Topaz (5 stones, 1 each in: 8mm, 6mm, 5mm, 4mm, & 3mm) , Swiss Blue Topaz (4 stones, 1 each in: 8mm, 6mm, 5mm, & 4mm), Cubic Zirconia (3 stones, all 3mm), hanging on a lightly oxidized and polished .925 sterling chain. The Torrent design contains over 6 feet, 4 inches of sterling silver wire, not including the chain.

"Torrent" meanings: fast, forceful, abundance; a heavy rain, a rushing stream; a cloudburst, downpour, deluge, flood, inundation, soaker, waterspout; a violent, fast stream of water; an overwhelming amount; pouring in abundance. Origins: Latin, "torrentem" (rushing stream) from "torrens" (original meanings: roaring, boiling, burning, parching).
Thoughts of an outpouring of Holy Spirit as a mighty rushing river were in my mind while making this piece. Even the original meanings of the Latin root word drew me: the consuming fire's burning; the parching as we thirst for more of the Lord. These things speak of a longing for an outpouring of such a level and force that would be overwhelming, unlike anything we have ever experienced before. The gemstones represented the "white water" bubbling/boiling up within the raging river.
